3441  Blackbird. Built May 1909 as number 3731. Fitted with half-cone boiler with superheater December 1911. Replaced with full-cone boiler November 1913. May 1922 shed alocation Hereford. January 1948 shed allocation Plymouth Laira. Withdrawn February 1949.

3442  Bullfinch. Built May 1909 as number 3732. Superheater fitted October 1911. May 1922 shed alocation Gloucester. January 1948 and last shed allocation Shrewsbury. Withdrawn July 1948.

3443  Chaffinch. Built May 1909 as number 3733. Superheater fitted January 1911. Fitted with half-cone boiler February 1913. Replaced with full-cone boiler February 1916. Reverted back to half-cone boiler May 1919. Replaced with full-cone boiler September 1921. May 1922 shed alocation Swindon. January 1948 and last shed allocation Taunton. Withdrawn May 1949.

Please note that table shows changes in boiler type only.
For example, 4003 Lode Star was withdrawn in 1951 with its seventeenth boiler,
